Harrisonburg, Va. (WHSV) A few internet software companies are changing the way Downtown Harrisonburg is viewed in the tech world, using their innovative ideas.

"I think in some ways, the origin of Rossetta Stone created a lot of gravity there, James Madison and EMU and other good schools around here generating a lot of talent, which is sort of vibrant," said Andy Harbick who is the co-founder of Pickarious.

Harbick thinks in some ways, Downtown Harrisonburg is emerging as a tech hub.

The company has developed an app that allows users to share videos of things they plan on selling.

Right now it is only available on their website.

The app will be launched in the next two months.
