The murder investigation of Greg Brown will be featured on America's Most Wanted on Friday.

This episode will air on Lifetime at 9 p.m.

Ali Abid is wanted for first degree murder and the use of a firearm.

Brown was shot and was later found in the trunk of his car in the Valley mall parking lot in march of 2011.

Brown was a private investigator, working for Abid's family.

He's an Iraqi who has dual citizenship in Canada.

Police said they believe he left the country.

State and federal authorities are working on the case.

Harrisonburg police said they reached out to America's most wanted because of the nature of the crime.

Harrisonburg Police Department's Criminal Investigator Chris Rush said this case not only has state and national ties, but also international ties.

"With both the national and global viewers that we have of America's most wanted, we're hoping that can get the message out to more individuals, not only in reference to information about the case, but also with the whereabouts of the suspect," Rush said.

Police have been looking for him since the investigation began in March 2011.

Police are still asking anyone with information on Ali Abid's whereabouts to contact Crime Solvers.

Tipsters can text "HPD" plus the tip to CRIMES (274637) or all the anonymous tip line at 540-574-050.

The victim's family put together a video in which Brown's wife and others talk about the man they loved. They also mention how caring he was and talk about his murder.
