 Red Cross volunteers in the Valley are on standby to help people devastated by those storms hitting parts of the South and Midwest.

HARRISONBURG, VA-- Red Cross volunteers in the Valley are on standby to help people devastated by those storms hitting parts of the South and Midwest.

The Red Cross says as many as 430 people spent Tuesday night in shelters in states including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and Florida.

Red Cross volunteers are on the ground helping people cope with the disaster and helping them get back on their feet.
