Valley Student's Rail Documentary Gains Recognition

Rockingham County, VA -- A Turner Ashby High School and Massanutten Regional Governor's School graduate has been recognized for his movie about high speed rail in Virginia.

The documentary, "Fast Tracks," Hanson Cook produced has the attention of state leaders. As a school project, Hanson talked with a number of people involved with the rail project including the executive director of Virginians for High Speed Rail.

"What we're doing is we're taking something that Virginians already know, and we're making it better and improving it and adding more of it," said Executive Director of Virginians for High Speed Rail Danny Plaugher during part of the movie.

"Fast Tracks" will be shown at the Greater Richmond Convention Center as part of the Virginians for High Speed Rail gathering on June 20.
