Victims Identified in Verona Murder-Suicide Investigation

VERONA, Va. (WHSV) -- The Augusta County Sheriff's Office released the identities of the two victims in Friday's suspected murder-suicide that happened in Verona.

Deputies found the bodies of a 57-year-old Roger Vincent Giggey Jr. and 56-year-old Diane Marie Napoleone in the master bedroom of the Oak Crest Drive home late Thursday night.

They say it was an apparent murder-suicide with both dying as a result of gunshot wounds.

Neighbor's say it wasn't unusual to see sheriff's deputies at the house.

"This is a pretty quiet neighborhood. A lot of things don't happen here. We have just normal people walking, jogging, kids riding their bikes, that kind of thing. But with them it was a different story. The police were always there," said neighbor Gloria Drum.
