VERONA A Virginia legal group is offering their services to gun owners for less than $10 a month. The group, called Virginia Self Defense Law, is headed by former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cucinelli and three others.
The group offers a legal retainer for their services for as little as $8.33 a month. They offer their services in the event that someone has been charged after defending themselves or lawfully carrying a firearm. The firm's site mentions several instances in which people have accumulated high legal bills after self defense acts, including George Zimmerman's legal costs. Some gun owners say it could be helpful.
"Sounds pretty reasonable for representation, if you really need the service. I think it's a good thing he's actually going to stand up for people who try to defend themselves and the right to bear arms and protect your home and your family.," said Jesse Coffman, owner of The Gun Shack.
The group has been advertising at gun shows and other events, and have found around 30 clients since starting last month.
