ROCKINGHAM COUNTY -- A Virginia wine smartphone app released new features on its website.

"Viriginia Wine in my Pocket" makes its website and app more interactive for wine lovers.

Users will be able to rate Virgina vineyards on the facilities, services and wine. The app will also let users keep personal notes on each winery they visit. A new message board will help wine enthusiasts keep in touch with each other.

Workers from one local winery hope this app will help improve the visitors' experience.

“I think it'll let us get a lot of great feedback from our customers whether good or bad, it'll help us to definitely improve and know more what our clientele is looking for and its also going to help people remember us and remember our wine,” said Katie Rosenberg, the events manager at Crosskeys Vineyard.

Rosenberg thinks that the app will encourage people to visit more places because they will be able to find wineries with ease.
