Virginia Voters Won't Have Write-In Option on Super Tuesday

If you're planning to vote for candidates other than Mitt Romney or Ron Paul on Super Tuesday, then you may be disappointed. You will not be able to in Virginia.

In this state, there is no write in option for primary elections. This means only Mitt Romney or Ron Paul can get Virginia votes.

While it's like this every election, it's more noticeable with several candidates failing to get on the ballot in time.

Voter registrars have already seen confusion from people voting absentee.

“We've had people actually try to write in on the ballot, a name, even though there is no space to do that. But the voting machines we use, the scanners, won't allow that. They will kick the ballot right out,” said Rockingham County Voter Registrar Doug Geib.

Because of this issue, Geib predicts low turnout on election day. He said your only option if you don't like either candidate is to submit a blank ballot.
