HARRISONBURG -- WHSV would like to correct a story we first aired Tuesday night on WHSV News at 11:00. In a story about Ken Cuccinelli, we inaccurately stated that Cuccinelli wanted to make all acts of sodomy illegal for everyone, including married and heterosexual couples.

The statement was not made by Cuccinelli. We reached out to Cuccinelli's campaign for clarification. Anna Nix, Cuccinelli's press secretary sent us this quote.

"Ken Cuccinelli is not going to apologize for going after individuals who prey on Virginia's children. The law in question is only used to prosecute sexual acts committed against minors and has absolutely nothing to do with consenting adults acting in private. Democrat and Republican prosecutors have used the law to put child predators behind bars. It's unfortunate that Terry McAuliffe has refused to support Ken's position on the law."
