STAUNTON-- A water main break on Coalter St. is leading to a few homes nearby going without water, according to the city's Public Works Dept.
It happened early on Thursday morning near the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library. It is a six-inch break. Crews are on the scene working to repair it. A few nearby homes are affected.
Traffic heading southbound on Coalter St. is blocked and drivers are forced to taking a detour. Northbound traffic is still passing.
The city averages about 60 water main breaks a year, according to the Public Works Dept.
