WAYNESBORO (WHSV)-- Police are investigating an outbreak of vandalism of cars on the 700 block of Florence Avenue. Damage is estimated at around $10,000.

The incident happened overnight Monday night and at least 10 vehicles were damaged with tires slashed, windows smashed, or dents, according to police.

Nothing was reported stolen, so it appears to be a case of random vandalism.

Police don't have many leads as there were no witnesses and morning dew wiped away any fingerprints.

One neighbor has a message for those responsible. "If there's sometime in your life that you think that life is unfair to you, I'd like for you to remember what you did the other night," said David Campbell, who's truck tire was slashed.

This is the time of crime that might lead to people bragging about. Police ask if you've heard of anything to help them in the case, call them at 540-942-6675.
