Waynesboro Riverfest Attracts People From All Over Virginia

WAYNESBORO, Va -- The 17th annual Riverfest took place at Constitution Park in Waynesboro Saturday.

It's all to help raise awareness of natural resources on the Shenandoah River Basin.

We spoke to people there who say it's a good way for kids to learn about nature.

"They need to know that everything they do as a human contributes to the health and well-being of the river, of our land, and of our natural resources," says Carol Marcolin, who is from Hampton.

The event reaches around 1,600 children and adults.
