Waynesboro Waynesboro is working to make it's citizens more informed about road conditions. The city's website now tracks the progress of snow removal throughout the area.
The websites displays when areas have been cleared after snowfall. Waynesboro Public Works says this method is much more effective than providing an eta on when an area will be clear. They also offer some advice to keep citizens from shoveling or plowing their drives repeatedly.
"If you want to go out and stop short of the road, five, ten feet, and keep up with it as it comes down, that's great. I would suggest not plowing or shoveling out all the way to the road until the road is done, and you can find out whether we're done your area by checking the website and looking at the snow page," said Mark Bowman, Superintendent of Waynesboro Public Works.
