HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Transprint USA is struggling to pay its employees their actual salaries, but executives say they are working to bring everything back to normal.
Employees at Transprint USA haven't received a full paycheck since Nov. 30th. An employee, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he went from making about $16 per hour to making minimum wage.
Company representatives said they're still complying with federal law. Department of Labor guidelines state an employer must pay employees minimum wage and overtime on the scheduled pay day, if they can't make payroll.
Company executives said employees have received six paychecks after November for a portion of their salary. They said the checks have been higher than minimum wage.
In a statement, they said they're thankful for the loyalty of their employees.
