Are You Prepared For An Emergency?

HARRISONBURG,Va. (WHSV)-- Warmer temperatures can be expected for several more weeks and hurricane season runs through November. So this is a good time of year to make an emergency plan, and to have extra supplies such as water.

Fire captain Ben Zimmerman says paying attention to forecasts can make a huge difference.

"The weather service is good now, sometimes out to a week or more they can tell us that something bad's coming. So, the more that they can know ahead of time, then if the emergency happens they know what to do," said Captain Zimmerman.
