Former JMU Running Back Gets Deferred Disposition on Pot Charge

Former James Madison running back Corwin Acker has received a deferred disposition until next March on a recent marijuana possession charge.

Former James Madison running back Corwin Acker has received a deferred disposition until next March on a recent marijuana possession charge.

Acker appeared in Rockingham/Harrisonburg General District Court Tuesday. The case was continued until March 11, 2011.

The sophomore was cited for the misdemeanor February 15. The next day, coach Mickey Matthews dismissed Acker from the JMU football team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
