Posted: 8:41 AM Jun 5, 2012

A lime and limestone product manufacturer is expanding its operation in Frederick County.

Gov. Bob McDonnell said Tuesday that the $45 million expansion of Carmeuse Lime and Stone's operation will create 25 jobs. The project includes installing a new kiln.

The company will receive a $250,000 performance-based grant from the Virginia Investment Partnership program for the expansion.

Carmeuse Lime and Stone is a subsidiary of Belgium-based Carmeuse Group. The company has operations in five locations in Virginia.
