Virginia Lottery officials say about 80,000 tickets for the New Year's Millionaire Raffle are still for sale.
The Virginia Lottery makes 330,000 of the $20 tickets available. The lottery will award three $1 million prizes and six $25,000 prizes. An additional 300 players will win $500.
The drawing is set for New Year's Day. Lottery Executive Director Paula Otto said Wednesday the lottery has sold more raffle tickets this year than it had at the same point last year. Otto says the limited number of tickets for sale gives ticket buyers the best odds of winning $1 million out of any game the lottery offers.
There is no limit to the number of raffle tickets someone may purchase.
