Hospital to Host Benefit Race for Helmet Safety

Heather Harlow is a registered nurse at Rockingham Memorial Hospital and she sees a lot of kids coming into the emergency room every week.

She said a head injury can easily be avoided by wearing a helmet. RMH is holding a benefit race in two weeks to bring attention to this problem and if you register to run, you can get a free helmet.

"I suspect that there's a great deal of children without helmets, without the means to have helmets or they may even have them and just not wearing them. It's just not enforced in their house that you even have to put them on," said Harlow.

The 'Trauma Trot' will be held June 16th in Penn Laird. For more information on this race click here: Trauma Trot Details
