Send Va Budget Negotiators Agree to a 2-Year, $85B Plan

Legislative negotiators have agreed on a new two-year, $85 billion budget that will direct state spending for the next two years.

The House and Senate talks ended Thursday afternoon after nearly collapsing in a dispute over money to hold down sharp toll increases in northern Virginia.

The agreement sets up a final vote on the spending bill by April 17.
