The Greenbrier has recalled 28 salaried workers who were laid off in January.
Owner Jim Justice tells the Charleston Gazette (http://bit.ly/I1AQsT ) that other workers who were laid off are being encouraged to apply for other jobs at the West Virginia resort.
About 100 salaried workers were laid off to avoid a $13 million deficit.
Justice says the resort's hourly employees were given a 5 percent pay raise as of April 1.
President Jeff Kmiec says The Greenbrier currently employs about 1,600 people.
