A special Vietnam memorial was in Harrisonburg Wednesday night.
The Wall that Heals arrived Tuesday and made its way to Ralph Sampson Park.
It is the mobile version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.
Crews were out early Wednesday morning to setup the wall and by Thursday morning, the wall will be completely assembled.
The memorial will be lighted 24 hours a day until early Monday morning.
There are names of over 58,000 people who died from the Vietnam War.
Those that travel with the wall are just grateful for a chance to help other veterans.
“A lot of us never really had an opportunity to say goodbye to our friends. This gives us an opportunity to do so,” said Bob Dobek, the site coordinator.
The Wall that Heals has traveled all over the United States and its next stop will be at Eastern Kentucky University.
