UVa Students Pay Tribute to Yeardley Love

Students Paint Beta Bridge

It has been two years since Yeardley Love was found dead in her off campus apartment. To remember the former lacrosse player, University of Virginia students painted the words "One Love For Yeards," on the Beta Bridge on Rugby Road in Charlottesville.

Since her death her ex-boyfriend George Huguely , was convicted of second degree murder and the jury recommended he spend 26 years in jail. Yeardley's mother has since sued George Huguely for $30,450,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.

Love also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Virginia lacrosse coaches Dom Starsia and Marc Van Arsdale, Director of Athletics Craig Littlepage and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Yeardley Love, wore the number 1 as a member of the women's lacrosse team.
