U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller is asking West Virginians to buy local when they go shopping for holiday gifts.
Rockefeller says West Virginia's core values of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship are reflected in every piece of hand-blown glass, pottery or woodwork made in the state.
He says in a news release that every West Virginia-made product that's sold is an opportunity to create a job.
The West Virginia Democrat will wrap up a yearlong series of "buy local" roundtables next month in the Eastern Panhandle.
