A change in taxi regulations in one Valley town is good news for a businessman.
Marty Solomon has been leading the fight to get the minimum number of hours for operating a taxi service reduced. Last night the Harrisonburg City Council voted his way changing the number from 120 hours a week to 30. For Marty, who runs the one man taxi service "Best Taxi," this is means he can legitimately operate his service to help keep drunk college kids off the road.
"I was pleased with the decision I want to thank the, especially thank the three new city council members. I think they had more of an open mind, says Marty.
Marty, who used to be in law enforcement, says he's happy to take kids home rather than to jail.
