Staunton, Va. Staunton Police are investigating an animal cruelty case on Green Street in the city.

Staunton Police are investigating an animal cruelty case on Green Street in the city.
According to police, animal control officers found a pit bull and a rottweiler tied up outside with no bedding or shelter in frigid temperatures.
The water in the dogs' bowl was frozen and their ribs were visible on both dogs.
Police aren't saying if the owners of the dogs have been arrested.
The dogs were put in a shelter.
