Staunton Police say they're still investigating an early morning armed robbery in Staunton where a clerk was held at gun-point.

Police say they need your help to find the suspect in the 2 a.m. Econo-Lodge robbery. They say the suspect walked in the Econo-Lodge door on Richmond Road, pulled a gun, and demanded money.

The clerk inside gave up an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect ran out the door and down the street towards Interstate 81.

Police say they have very little to go on, because the man wore baggy clothes and disguised his face with a bandanna. They say if people call in with additional information on the robbery, there is a way to solve the case.

"Giving that tidbit of information that puts all the pieces together, that is the easiest way and the best way," says Cpl. Scott Bird.

Police say that if you have any information at all, give them a call at 540-332-3842.
