Virginia's Montgomery County is out of the running as the site for a new plant from craft beer giant Sierra Nevada Brewing.
The California-based brewery had the area high on its list for a planned $70 million East Coast headquarters.
But county officials told The Roanoke Times that brewery took Montgomery County out of consideration because the location that it was eying is now under contract with Utah-based Backcountry.com.
The online outdoor gear, clothing and equipment retailer announced plans in October for a distribution center at Christiansburg's Falling Branch Corporate Park. The $20 million facility is expected to employ 200 people.
