A Stuarts Draft couple is facing charges for allegedly providing alcohol to a group of minors during a party at their home Friday night.

Bonnie Hamilton and Daniel Southard were arrested after sheriff's deputies arrived at the home to find seven minors under the influence of alcohol.

Deputies say the two were wondering why they were in trouble and reportedly didn't think it was a big deal to give alcohol to minors.

Lt. Glenn Hanger, Augusta County Sheriff's Office, says the two were responsible for the minors.

He says, "There is a certain amount of liability attached to what an individual might do as a result of you promoting them in committing a crime, such as the consuming or the possessing of alcohol."

There were a total of 20 people at the party, ranging in age from 12 to 22. The sheriff's office isn't releasing the ages of the minors who were intoxicated.

ARE WE REALLY INFORMED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OUR SCHOOL BUSES AND HOW OUR DRIVERS ARE TREATED? WHY ARE SOME DISTRICTS QUICKER TO GET NEW BUSES EVERY YEAR AND OTHERS PERFECTLY CONTENT TO RUN POOR EQUIPMENT? MAYBE A LITTLE INVESTIGATION WILL ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS. YOU MAY BE SURPRISED AT WHAT YOU FIND IF YOU SPEAK TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE AND NOT JUST THE TOP PEOPLE. THE LITTLE PEOPLE TEND NOT TO HIDE THINGS, BUT THE ONES WITH MORE TO LOSE MAY BE A LITTLE LESS APT TO TELL THE WHOLE STORY. THIS IS ALL I CAN REVEAL AT THIS TIME, BUT CONSIDER A LITTLE INVESTIGATION. A GOOD PLACE TO START MAY BE APPROX. 30 MILES SOUTH EAST OF HARRISONBURG. THIS WILL GIVE YOU SEVERAL DISTRICTS TO CHECK INTO AND IF YOU CHECK THESE OUT I ASSURE YOU..THE RIGHT ONE SHOULD MAKE ITSELF KNOWN ALL BY ITSELF. I MUST REMAIN NAMELESS TO KEEP MY JOB.

As if today's youth were not in enough trouble, now we have adults acting like uneducated teens--nice work Bonnie and Danny!!!
