A number of James Madison University students spent Valentine's Day proving how much they love Virginia's mountains.
The campus group, JMU Earth, held a silent dinner auction selling dishes prepared by students to help raise money for Mountain Justice Spring Break.
The group plans to ask Governor Tim Kaine to stop the construction of a coal plant in Wise County.
Students plan to spend this year's Mountain Justice Spring Break in southwest Virginia learning more about the effect mountain-top coal removal has on the planet.
