The anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings is still two months away, but hundreds of people around the country are already preparing for a protest.
Protesters are making ribbons in the school's colors. On April 16, 32 people at dozens of different locations plan to lie on the ground for three minutes, wearing the ribbons in honor of the 32 people were killed.
The protesters will lay there for three minutes, because that's how long it took gunman Seung-Hui Cho to buy his weapons for the shooting.
Shooting survivor Elilta 'Lily' Habtu says, "I wanted to show my support in any way for protest easy guns. Especially after last week. There were four school shootings in just six days. I was just horrified."
Classes will be canceled at Virginia Tech on April 16, but several events are planned on the campus to honor the victims.
