An entertainment company is touring the nation teaching students about the dangers of drinking and driving.
On Tuesday, students at James Madison University took part in an exercise that simulates what it's like to go from driving sober to driving under the influence.
The program is put together by the Save A Life tour. It looks similar to a video game, but the effects of the simulator experience are very life-like. Students said it made an impact on their decisions not to drink and drive.
"You were driving and when your level of intoxication kept going up, your reaction time was really off," says Chelsea Peace, a sophomore at JMU. "It's crazy to see how much you can't drive. You can't drive at all."
The new state-of-the-art simulator is endorsed by the U.S. Armed Forces, hospitals and high schools across the country.
