If you forget to buckle up every time you get into your car, it's time to make some changes.
Starting Sunday, Virginia State Police will be on the look out for offenders during their "Click It or Ticket Campaign."
VSP has teamed up with the local police and sheriff's departments across the state to not only make sure everyone is buckled, but that the little ones are also fastened in their car seats properly.
"A lot of times, folks think if its a short trip, well they don't need to buckle up cause it's going to be a quick run to the grocery store. No matter what, whenever you have the car in gear, take that second to buckle up," urges Sgt. Bryan Hutcheson, Virginia State Police.
VSP, VDOT and the DMV urge everyone to make responsible driving a top priority, by buckling up, avoiding distractions, sharing the road, driving drug and alcohol free, and obeying the speed limit.

What about the drivers with back problems who are too short for the shoulder belt, and the belt clips don't help, the lap belt is all I can wear. And the shorter teens have the same problem. If we have to wear them, what about the kids on school buses.. They probably would have helped prevent some of the kids from some of their injuries in the city bus wreck the other week.
It's the middle of March...gotta make those quotas !!!
I have a big problem with police officers finding cause to pull a citizen over for something that is a secondary offense and that Law Enforcement is exempt from, according to 46.2-1094(b-2). To me, it sounds like a fishing expedition or some good ol' fashion revenue generation.
