A national lumber company is shutting its doors on 30 stores nationwide, and one is in Harrisonburg.
The company, 84 Lumber, which supplies wood to professional builders, announced Tuesday that it closed the Harrisonburg store because it's in an unprofitable market.
The store closed its doors Monday morning. Six people worked at the Harrisonburg store. There are still 20 stores in Virginia.
A company spokesperson says the Harrisonburg store was old and small in size compared to others, which made it harder to serve wide areas. The inventory will be moved to other stores in the area.
