UVa President Teresa Sullivan was hired as an "interim" president according to a Washington Post interview with former board member Randall Kirk.
Kirk says that's why she was never fully included by the University of Virginia's Board of Visitors before her ouster back in June.
Kirk recently stepped down from the board. He said problems with Sullivan stem as far back as 2009.
Kirk's account is debated however. The Washington Post says one board member agreed that Sullivan was not seen as a long-term president, while seven former and current board members said Kirk's account was wrong.
