People in Harrisonburg donated their time, energy, and talent for a fundraiser to benefit cancer Saturday night.
The Garber's Church of the Brethren and Relay For Life hosted a talent show, as well as a silent auction. The youngsters enjoyed face painting, and older people found baked goods for sale. For people like Tammy Strickler, this cause has taken on a whole new meaning in her life.
Strickler says, "A lot of us here have been touched in some way or another by cancer. My dad passed away a year ago, due to cancer. We're having a bake sale, we're doing a silent auction, and we just have lots and lots of talent."
The best part of all at this event is all the proceeds go towards the American Cancer Society.
