The 16-year-old male from Crozet charged in the shootings on and around Interstate 64 pleaded guilty Wednesday to five of the 15 charges he faced.

The shootings took place on March 27 when police responded to several calls of shots fired in the Crozet and Waynesboro areas. Several cars driving along Interstate 64 were shot at and at least two people were hurt.

The interstate was closed for several hours while police investigated the incident.

The juvenile and 19-year-old Slade Allen Woodson were charged with the shootings. Police said the two are also responsible for shooting at a house and a credit union in Waynesboro.

The 16 year old will be sentenced on May 28. Woodson's preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
