For the third time in a week, a person has drowned in the Valley.

Strasburg police and fire and rescue teams tried to resuscitate a 26-year-old man from Strasburg at Half-Moon Beach Wednesday, but they were unsuccessful.

They took the man to Winchester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet released the man's identity.

WOW. Thats unbelievable. I have been there twice with my daughter in the past week and thought that the place was well staffed with lifeguards and they did a great job at watching the place. What sad news.
