The future of Fishersville is starting to become clearer thanks to a small area plan.
The planning commission unanimously approved the plan as part of the comprehensive plan for Augusta County Tuesday night at a public hearing. It provides a more focused view of what the public feels Fishersville's future should look like over the next 20 years.
Members of the Augusta County Planning Commission believe adopting the plan is cost-effective and may make Fishersville more attractive for developers to make an investment in the area.
The board of supervisors will make its final decision on the recommendation at a public hearing on August 27.
