A grand jury has handed up two indictments against a former employee of a local car dealership.
Thirty-nine-year-old Jason Sapp, formerly of the Charlie Obaugh Auto Dealership in Harrisonburg, was arrested in the spring following a four-month investigation by both Virginia State Police and the Harrisonburg Police Department.
Sapp waived his right to a preliminary hearing earlier this month, agreeing there is probable cause of his involvement with charges of manufacturing a controlled substance and felony obstruction of justice.
Forty-three-year-old Garth Shrader was also arrested as part of the investigation. Police say Shrader traded use of dealership vehicles for crack cocaine and paid an individual to lie about damage to one such vehicle.
