A Staunton man has pleaded guilty to shooting charges and he avoids a trial.

Otis Harrison, Jr. pleaded guilty to four felonies, including two counts of malicious wounding.

He was scheduled for a jury trial Tuesday, but avoided it with his guilty plea.

Harrison shot and injured another Staunton man and his ten-year-old step son last Halloween.

Court records show Harrison was sentenced to ten years in jail, with four suspended.
