Tropical Storm Hanna has made her pass through the Valley, but people are wondering if she was less powerful than expected.
The Valley needs the rain, but with Hanna already moving out of the area, it looks like that is all we are going to get. Baltimore native, Ed Kuhlman, traveled through the Valley Saturday.
He says, "Here, it's nothing more than just casual rain so it's not too bad. It's not windy. It's just much needed rain."
Traveling with Kuhlman, Richard Becker is also from Baltimore.
He says, "Could of been a lot worse. The good thing about it is all of us need the rain, so it's good that we get the good soaking rain. It's not raining too hard so we are not getting floods and stuff like that so we're happy with it."
Both Kulhman and Becker say they were not expecting Hanna to pose to much of a problem.
Kuhlman says, "This is about what we expected. Maybe a little bit harder rain, but this is about what we expected."
Becker adds, "I brought the umbrellas in case it got too hard of a rain. I didn't expect it to get real bad, so we're fine."
Traveling towards Tennessee, Nancy Clark says she was only worried about traveling through the rain.
She says, "Slower traveling. There's more trucks on the road. We are taking our time, stopping more often, but it's OK so far. There are no winds and I am glad of that because we are driving a big truck. So we were a little concerned about the winds pushing the truck around."
The First Alert Rain Gauge shows the Valley received around 8/10ths of an inch of rain.
