Advisement Hearing for Neglected Horse Case

An advisement hearing Friday for a valley family each charged with neglecting their herd of horses.

Nine malnourished horses are currently under the reigns of the Augusta Regional SPCA. They were seized from a Staunton farm last week. 44-year-old Ronald Rexrode, his wife Denise and son Ronald Junior are each charged with one count of animal cruelty. No court date has been set. If convicted, the family could each face up to a year in prison.
