A personnel lift accident Thursday morning in Staunton sent one man to the hospital.
A painter from Buck's Painting Company was using the lift to paint a second story window on a home on West Beverley Street. He drove over a short wall, which caused the lift to tip onto its side.
The man was taken to the hospital in good condition. Officials at the scene say the man was lucky.
Jeremy Campbell, Staunton Police Department, says, "He was harnessed in and is OK. Last word we got he was at AMC and he's getting checked out."
The crane took out some power lines. Dominion Power was out to turn off the power while they worked on trying to get the lift out.
OSHA is also out surveying the incident and the Department of Labor is investigating.
