Another Tourism Boost for Staunton

The City of Staunton will be the home of a new $1,000,000 tourist information center.

VDOT announced that $200,000 in federal enhancement money will go toward the project this year. The tourist info center will be located near the entrance of the Frontier Culture Museum.

Other projects receiving the federal money this year will be Mt. Jackson visitor center, renovation for the Hardesty-Higgins House in Harrisonburg, relocation of an 1875 railroad turntable in Staunton and developing a Greenway System in Waynesboro.
