You may have seen a confederate uniform cruising the streets of Harrisonburg Saturday. It's part of the fall 2008 walking tour.
Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance sponsors the series of tours through the city. Saturday's tour featured a confederate's perspective of the town.
Guests joined their appropriately dressed tour guide to learn the important history of Harrisonburg.
Guide Casey Billhimer says, "They're trying to make people aware of Harrisonburg during the war between the states, so this tour today will cover a soldier's perspective of what would have happened during the war between the states."
The next tour will be October 11. The tour will be on the historic churches of downtown Harrisonburg.
