When it comes to crime, Staunton police say they are seeing more and more committed via the Internet.

In order to keep officers and investigators updated on the latest PC crimes, the state Attorney General's Office sponsored a seminar in Abingdon.

Staunton Police Department forensic specialist Kurt Plowman attended the seminar and he says it's key to stay updated on how to obtain evidence from computers.

Plowman explains, "Producing paperwork or reports that may be involved in an embezzlement case, committing fraud with eBay, child pornography, so a lot of crimes now are using computers."

Law enforcement agencies from across the Commonwealth attended.

Attorney General Bob McDonnell also dropped by to discuss how many citizens are victims of Internet crimes each year and to enforce the importance of this training.
