Two Valley high schools are going head to head for a good cause.
The Harrisonburg High Blue Streaks and the Turner Ashby Knights are teaming up with the Salvation Army to raise money for families that need a little help this holiday season.
Members of the schools football teams rang bells and collected money for the Salvation Army at two Wal-Mart locations in Harrisonburg all day.
Harrisonburg High School senior Dakota Mitchell says it's more than just a typical competition.
He says, "It's just a great way to show the community that you care and to show people that Harrisonburg isn't about just sports or academics. We like to help people too."
Totals from the Kettle Challenge will be announced Monday.
