So far so good. We're moving farther from November 22 and still no reports of influenza.
It was on that date last year when the Virginia Department of Health started seeing level two or local cases of the flu.
Unfortunately, there are other illnesses going around the Valley.
Dr. Melissa Hostetter with Waynesboro Pediatrics is treating upper respiratory infections, strep throat and the stomach bug.
Dr. Jeffrey Feit in Page County is also treating these problems. He's reporting the stomach bug, or viral gastroenteritis as well.
Feit says it's pretty bad right now and the kids are coming in with high fevers.
