Boil Water Alert for Franklin
Franklin, W.Va. People living in Franklin, West Virginia and areas three miles north are under a boil water alert.

People living in Franklin, West Virginia and areas three miles north are under a boil water alert.
There was a malfunction at the water treatment plant that allowed contaminated water to get into the water supply.
People are being advised to boil their water until further notice.
The boil water alert may not be lifted until Wednesday.
Due to this boil alert, students will not be attending some schools in the county Wednesday. Franklin Elementary, Pendleton County Middle and Pendleton County High schools will all be closed. Staff are still expected to report at the usual time.
School will be in session at Brandywine and North Fork elementary schools.
